Slic3r - how to select extruder/filament # for multiple objects in a single operation?
Hi,
How can I select multiple objects, in Prusa Slic3r, then set the extruder number for them all in a single operation?
When a MM model is loaded into Prua Slic3r, the default is to automatically alternate extruder number selection across all objects.
I.E. Object 1 = Extruder 1, Object 2 = Extruder 2, Object 3 = Extruder 3, Object 4 = Extruder 4, Object 5 = Extruder 5, Object 6 = Extruder 1, Object 7 = Extruder 2, Object 8 = Extruder 3 etc.
For example, I have around45 objects in a print and I want to set 40 of them to use the same extruder, but the only way I can see of doing this is to change the setting for each object, in dividually, one at a time - this is a pain, error-prone, and time consuming. It would be great if I could select all relevant objects, then right-click to set the extruder number for all of them in one go.
Thanks

You can't in the currently released version of PrusaSlicer. Looks like it is coming in the 2.2.0 release though as the latest beta notes mention being able to do what you are asking: https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/releases

@gnat
Thanks for the confirmation (saves me carrying on trying to figure out away).
Thanks also for the link. I look forward to the next version...
It is newly possible to change extruders for multiple objects/parts at once by group-selection and a right mouse click.
