New Models

I can't seem to find anything about this, but how do you design models that can use more than 1 material or convert existing models to use multiple materials?

For technical parts I find it easier, to export submodels for each color. Then dran'n'drop the multiple STL or OBJ files into slicer, and slicer will ask you, if you want it to handle as a single object with multiple extruders.
