I couldn't resist posting something in here to fend off the tumbleweed. Not much to discuss yet is there?
Is there any hope of a video of the new MMU2.0 in operation yet? At least it would give us something to talk about 💡

from the photo's so far, the V2 seems to be very similar to my mmu V1 pretty much a paperweight... 😈
I too would like some moving images to make me drool...
for that matter, I would also like to receive my mk2.5 upgrade too!

Hi guys,
While waiting on my MK2.5, I've been looking hard and long at the MMU2. I was wondering how the ingest filament lines would feed into MMU2 and how Prusa Research intends to deconflict with moving print cables? The way I see it, they will collide.

The only thing I have seen is Tom's MRRF video where he shows the mmu2.0 "revolver"
around the 2:42 mark

I agree. Considering it's supposed to start shipping at the end of this month, it would be nice to see some detailed video of the MMU 2.0 in action.

It's kind of surprising nobody is bulk-selling MK3-sized spring steel sheets on ebay yet. Seems like a great way to make 10 USD out of 30 cents if you have a waterjet or good lasercutter. I'd definitely buy a few, too lazy to source locally.

Apparently, there will be a showing of the MMU2 for the first time at the Maker Faire, San Francisco Bay Area this weekend.

I'll be going and hope to see something that works very well and close to a finished, well engineered product.
I am using MK2S+MMU1 almost every day nowadays, for more than a year now and it works quite well for me now. Multi material printing is essential for me (mostly for supports).
But I was (still a bit) dissatisfied with MMU1 because of the time I had to spend to use it, limitations due to the design
and complete lack of improvements after launch.
Some of the improvements (from simple ones to complicated ones) that might have undertaken are
1- Hotend fan shroud, silent fan, took me a while to find a good one which I still had to modify because very limited MMU1 usage.
2- Better temperature adjustment during filament switch.
3- Better variety of spool holders, one design does not work for all.
4- Decreasing filament switch failures
5- Printing with wider range of filament types
6- Decreasing the filament switch time and/or print time
7- Decreasing the wasted filament due to the switch
We'll see if MMU will achieve some of these.

Please post an update with what you see. I am also hoping you see a finished, well-engineered product, since the Prusa website still says they're supposed to start shipping at the end of May, which is only two weeks away.

It seems they pulled a classical "Prusa"...
when i ordered it stated "shipping starts end of May, New Orders starts in June" (I ordered shortly after the annoucement).
So there seems to be a delay.
It happens but it annoys me every time that they don't send an information of the delay to the people who have ordered. 👿

Ysplitter? no cutter for the bulb? it' is geared? looks like it will face similar jamming issues as MMU V1.
