MMU Selector not moving after filament change

I have run into an odd behavior and not sure if it's an issue with 3.9.2 or not but during most boots of the printer or filament changes the selector on the MMU2S does not move or cycle and seems to stick around filament 1 position.

Also several times it "needs" attention that can only be resolved by a hard reset of the mmu2s and a complete power cycle of the printer.

Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this behavior when running version 3.9.2 on the printer and 1.0.6 on the mmu2s.

I can confirm that the 3.8.1 runs reliably with the MMU2 (1.0.6). I have not tested higher firmware versions, because the 3.8.1 is running and I don't want to change a working system.
Did you flash the correct firmware MMU2/S?

yeah so i downgraded to 3.9.1 and also reseated the data cables, seems to be having much better, and even loaded to the extruder on the first attempt so maybe i resolved my own issue 🙂

@lcdguy

Was it due to the data cable or the firmware?
I suspect rather the data cable...

Not 100% sure as i changed both, though when i checked the cable before re-plugging it, it didn't look like it was out to far, i might try upgrading the printer to 3.9.2 and give that firmware another shot.

Can I ask what power supply is on your printer? Is it the older silver one with the printed bottom part? Or the newer Delta power supply, all black with the power switch on the rear?

Yes it's using the black one, since downgrading to 3.9.1 this specific issue hasn't re-occured, just fighting with a multitude of other issue related to the MMU2S like everyone else 🙂
