MM 2.0 MK2.5/MK3 does not work with MK2.5
Got my MM 2.0 today, assembled it, got to the pre-flight checks and found it would not connect to my MK2.5 as described. I've contacted Prusa support and their answer was we don't know? Anyone else managed to get this working on their MK2.5? I only upgraded to the Mk2.5 for the MM 2.0 but apparently its not compatible.

someone had an issue with a 2.5. they thought some wire harness might have been backwards. they say it should work, I would be with live support until it works... (do not move wires around unless they tell you too)

It gets better....
They told me I would need an adapter cable which will take 2 weeks to arrive. When I asked why so long and why it wasn't shipped with my kit they ended the chat. I tried again and asked for the connections so I could make the adapter myself they now tell me that the firmware hasn't been written yet.
I've been sent a kit with missing parts and a kit that will not work with my printer, great.

Currently the Mk2.5 does not work with the MMU2 without a separate power cable.
If this has not been supplied, then you need to contact support (via "Live Chat") and ask that they send you the necessary power cable. If you have any problems, then please give then a link to this thread.

Hi Peter,
I have already contacted support but they are saying I have to wait 2 weeks for the cable and that the firmware isn't ready. Very frustrating I now have over £500 of upgrades that do not work.

Hi Matt,
Thank you for the feedback. Based on the shipping table, mine is scheduled on 15Oct. I was very excited to receive my MMU2.0 but now that after learning we have issue, I can set my excitement aside to reduce my disappointment and frustrations. Our MMU has been delayed for very long time and yet another delay for this issue. I hope they deliver the firmware sooner. 🙁
My regret now is that I upgraded from MK2S to MK2.5 instead of MK3. MK3 is quiet and ready for MMU2.0.
By the way, I contacted customer support and confirmed that MK2.5 has issue with MMU2.0. They will be shipping with adapter on all orders once available. Still need to wait for the firmware though.

Support have told me several different things, firstly there is a manufacturing problem with the adaptors and it will take 2 weeks. I said I could make my own but then they said the firmware isn't ready (even though is says it is at the link you provided). Now they are saying they have the adaptors but won't release them until next week as it is against procedure.
I just want some honesty, hugely disappointing to be sent something that doesn't work. I have the MM V1 already that has never worked and now a v2 to match.

What Rambo version do you have? Customer service mentioned something like “only affected is those using old boards”.

i have a RAMBo 1.3a board, and there is no connections for the type of cable supplied with MMU2. and that board should be the newest, of the rambo's used on the MK2.5(MK2S)

Funnily enough. My Mmuv2 is delayed because I ordered an upgrade to mmuv1
Mmuv1 only works on mk2 printers. I also have a mk3. So there is no need to delay for extra power supply... But I am still waiting. Almost a year since order...

i have a RAMBo 1.3a board, and there is no connections for the type of cable supplied with MMU2. and that board should be the newest, of the rambo's used on the MK2.5(MK2S)

I have just chat with customer service a while ago and was told that problem was with RAMBO 10a, with 13a is all ok. So badly needed this MMU for my 39 hour print project where its deadline is on first week of November. Mine is 13a and still waiting for my MMU2.0 order. Table says mine mine will start to ship on 15Oct. I might have to send it for printing services if not received by 20Oct.

Omg...seriously? I've been waiting on upgrading my MK2S to MK2.5 for months (have the update hardware here) because I don't want to lose my MM (currently MK2S-MM I guess) so I could do it together with the MMUv2 upgrade, and now it's not even going to work? WTF is going on here.

Customer service told me that cable or connector will be provided but still need to wait for the firmware. I was wondering why no much noise in the forum considering that a lot of users upgraded to MK2.5. So I contacted them to check if its related to Rambo version since I remembered mentioning me old boards were affected. Yesterday I confirmed that only Rambo 10a is afftected.
Mine is 13a and it should work..hopefully.
