Issue unloading ASA Filament - tip is manteled with filament
Hi,
I have an issue with stuck ASA filament tips when unloading after a print. There is a mantle of filament around the tip (see picture)
I tried hotend temperatures from 220 to 250°C - does not make any difference. The Picture is the 220°C print.
PLA and PETG work fine.
Does anyone has a tipp?
Thanks

Same here. Sometimes it is so hard to get it from PTFE tubes that I need to wrap the filament around my hand and brace when pulling it out. No surprise that MMU2 can't pull it out.
I print with various high temperature filaments like ABS and PCTG and I've never had a problem with any of them except ASA with which I have this problem on roughly every third unload..... so multi-material printing with ASA is practically impossible.

There was some talk a while back about some PTFE tubing being small, as in out of spec small in the lumen. It might be worth checking into this.
