Ilder and Selector not in the correct positions?

Hello People,

i got my mmu2s all setup yesterday and i has been printing for like 4 hours without any issues until it suddenly decided its a good idea to rotate the idler to filament 2 while the selector is actually trying to load filament 3.

resolving this error was a huge pain in the ass and after i could finally get it to print again it didnt rehome the selector and continued to print in the wrong color until the next color change.

this problem with the idler loading filament 2 while another one should be loaded has happened 4 times already and so far i have not been able to finish a print as there has always been an error that could not be resolved.

the latest one being the nozzle cooling down and the printer not responding at all when i want to heat it up again.

does anyone else have these issues and knows a solution?

No idea why this happens after going for hours without any issues.

RE: Ilder and Selector not in the correct positions?

when it doesn't heat up after an error, you can try hitting the preheat. might help.

hope your selector blade isn't messing with it

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

when it isn't heating up i had no possibility to select anything, the screen said to press the knob to preheat and it didnt do anything, no option to get into any menu which is one of my main problems with the MMU, total lack of control if there is any issue.

already checked the blade and there is no problem, the selector can move freely but just doesnt always does the same as the idler does.

so i solved this problem by calibrating my filament sensor again, since then ive printed for over 50h with about 600 filament changes without touching the MMU once.
