How to make a single STL multi-color with the new PrusaSlicer?

I watched the youtube video and it's not making much sense and I don't see documentation anywhere. Is it possible to take a single STL and make it multi-color? I want the bottom 1mm one color and the rest above another color.

Also, why is there no UNDO support? I'm really on the fence about this new PrusaSlicer. Some seem to rave but as a software developer myself I'm disappointed in various areas, it is not user friendly at all! There is a lot to learn from Adobe programs about layers, the ability to show/hide things, undo support or history tracking, etc.

I haven't tried myself (still using a 1.42 beta actually), but my understanding is that you switch to the layer view after slicing, drag the layer slider to where you want the change and then press the + icon next to the layer slider.

I have read that it doesn't take advantage of the MMU though and will force you to change the filament in the current tool. Again, however, I have no direct experience though.

I'd imagine it's pretty easy to find the M600s after doing that though and replace them with MMU toolchange commands instead...

I know for sure the "+" sing shows up in mmu single mode. in sliced preview.

you can always add a modifier to the stl and change the modifier's extractor. in mmu mode

I have a Prusa,therefore I research.

I tested this (accidentally) in MMU single mode...

Slice the model.

Switch to preview.

Scroll either layer control (vertical slider thing right of preview window) to the layer/height you want the color to change.

hover mouse to the right(?) of the slider. a + sign will apear. Click it.

Export gcode.
