Four questions
1) Why does the pulley on the MMU2 put pressure on the filament when the extruder is working? It seems that would put an unnecessary drag on the filament.
2) Why are there a few moments when the extruder pulls the filament while the MMU2 tries to retract? This is always causing a grinding of the filament and eventually it stops moving at all and I have to open it up again.
3) What am I doing wrong?
4) How do I fix it?
Thanks
BTW: I have the MK2.5S upgraded from the original MK2. And the MMU2S upgraded from the original MMU.
RE: Four questions
For #1 - it should not. Check the various alignments (bondtech gears), and make sure your idler drum is correctly aligned on the motor shaft and not loose. Mine had the screws come loose and caused this exact symptom.
#2 - Check your IR sensor calibration. The MMU should wait until it reads 0 before trying to retract. If your sensor is flaky and reads 0 while filament is still in the gears, it could cause this.
