Filament not loading correctly into the Mk3s extruder

Initially I thought I had a problem with the MMU2s, then I took the tube out of my 3s extruder and the loading sequence worked fine with the filament not going into the extruder.

When I tried pushing filament in it felt like it was hitting a block, so much so that the filament I was pushing eventually bent rather than go in the extruder.  This is despite the fact that the extruder was turning waiting for the filament.  I undid the chimney and put the filament into the hole in the orange piece and it loaded fine from there.

This leads me to believe that the issue here is between the bowden tube and the extruder.  It is hitting the top of the hole and is not guided in but instead blocks on the surface till the MMU2s gives up.

I'm considering using a countersink bit to give the filament hole in the orange a slight chamfer.  This should guide the filament into the extruder and resolve the issue I think.  I wanted to run that past people here first though as I would rather not screw up my printer before I get it even printing.  Any thoughts

I have noticed this as well.  I think some of them have holes that are slightly too small.  I plan on putting a beveled edge on mine so it directs the filament into the hole.  I would rather do that than drill it the entire way through.
