Do we get a firmware update for the MMU2s?
Does anybody know if we also get a firmware update where the board talks better to the MK3S+? Or are we forced to buy the new MMU3 and a new MK4 to benefit from the devs work?

Yes, Josef confirmed it in interview with Thomas Sanladerer. New firmware will work with mmu2s. There are also some changes in printed parts, but he also mentioned upgrade pack will have some metal part too.

Added question as this if kinda firmware related....
- I assume the MMU2s board is the same as the MMU3 as there is an upgrade path?
- Is the firmware the same when its released (MMU2s and MMU3?
- Are the connectors the same to the motherboard or did they change the cables from the MMU3?
- The MK3s with MMU2s will get all the same text messages on the older LCD display as the MMU3 with the new larger color LCD screen?

yeah I just installed the 3.0.0 firmware for mmu2s and the 3.13.0 firmware for the MK3S+ yesterday. I'm doing a small test print now. I think I like the behavior changes so far. It's VERY different if you've spent a lot of time staring at the mmu2s like I have. It "feels" more robust than it did. much less haphazard than before. And I like the messages showing up on the lcd. if this goes well I may upgrade the MMU2S - MMU3 and do the MK3S+->MK4 upgrade at the same time. Apparently my pair of MK3S->MK4 upgrade kits I ordered on 04/01 will now not ship until mid sept. Same for my 5 extruder fully-assembled XL.

You now have to go into settings on the printer after you flash the printer and the mmu to turn on the MMU. It's VERY different behavior lol. so far this 4 hour test print is going well.

ALso currenbtly PrusaLink doesnt work when new on the new firmware, there was a change, if installing PrusaLink new you need to disable the MMU, config PrusaLink then re-enabled MMU (this is a one time thing), just bumped in to this.
It appears if you have Prusalink already installed and working then i didnt have this issue (i reflashed PruisaLink to v0.7 and saw the problem)
