Dear Prusa - Mk3s and MMU2s combo kit

I already have an I3mk3 but attempting to replace the annoying cooling fan fills me with dread so I don't have the giblets to half disassemble my only working printer to install (and build 😲 )  the MMU2s, let alone go through all the hassle that appears to be going with calibrating and aligning etc. My only other option would be something like a Pallette 2s pro, but I'd rather stay within the Prusa ecosystem.

So, Prusa, is there a consultancy option I can purchase along with a new Mk3s and MMU2s so that you can build and test everything for me?

If not, dear forum, is there anyone who can offer this service (and ship to the UK via DPD)

Hello,

I feel that the experience of building it yourself will enable to you to have confidence in pulling it apart when it fails.  I purchased a MK3S and MMU2S, built the printer, calibrated it, everything worked fine, I really didn't want to break a 2 week old working fine printer to add the multi material option, dig deep, it was fine and also killed an entire weekend. Teething problems gain you experience and knowledge.

Good luck.

I would second that opinion. You will need to troubleshoot an MMU2 from time to time. They are not plug n play experiences. I think that is why Prusa have never offered MMU2 as a pre-built unit.

Thanks guys, this does appear to be the only option. I get the learning and every day is a school day, but it's kind of like driving to Scotland in an electric car. Sure I could do it, it'd take some planning and I'd probably get lost a few times on the way, but it would take a very long time, and you'd never quite be sure that the loose bowels weren't a pre-existing condition. 🙂

Thanks for the input.
