Bad adhesion soluble interface to supports

I have tried printing PVA as soluble interface, now I'm trying the much more expensive BVOH (I use the preset).
The BVOH seems better, but I still notice a bad adhesion to the rest of the PLA supports.

When printing full supports in PLA with a Z contact distance of 0.1mm, the interface layers are perpendicular to the support layers, so you can see them as bridges. This works very well.
But when printing with soluble interface, the interface gets all messy with a lot of movements, but also lines parrallel to the support, and printing in mid air, because the supports are spaced 2 mm.
This causes a lot of the support to come off and not stick to the PLA supports.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Bad adhesion soluble interface to supports

I’ve printed a lot with Verbatims BVOH + Colorfabb PLA/PHA the last few weeks. My experience so far:

- Glue stick enhances the bed adhesion for BVOH a lot.
- When the BVOH to PLA adhesion decreases you have to dry your filament. I did it in my oven for 3 hours and 60°C (kitchen ovens are not very precise I measured the temperature regularly and adjusted it several times). After that it worked like new.
- Even though I am printing out of a box with humidity below 10% I still have to dry the BVOH maybe every 2-3 weeks or so.
- I had also some problems with the adhesion on the waste tower. I think one problem is it prints very fast on it with both BVOH and PLA.

I don’t think I can adjust settings specifically for the wipe tower, can I?

I experience the problems with BVOH straight out of the box. I don't expect I have to dry out new BVOH filament?
The main cause has to be the way the interface layers are printed on the supports.

The first interface layer is bridging, so why would the interface layer make all kinds of movements and loops, in stead of being perpendicular to the supports?

Straight out the box there shouldn't be any need for drying. These are my settings maybe they help.
