Thats tragic @toaf

Not a fail from selector trouble, missed load, bad tip etc. Would have never considered that could happen.

Prusa MK3 preassembled (R2/B6) > (R3/B/7)

after a fast look, it seems 190 is max Z for me. ill look into it more after the next print.

doesn't look like it's my fault 190 is max but I have to look closer later to make sure.

well I had some wires sticking out that wouldn't let the extruder go above about 180/190

it looks like the filament run out raises the extruder around 20 mm or so.

anyone know how much a "crash detected" moves the extruder up?

I feel I must do science to explain why my super jedi test failed.. at least it didn't fail from filament issues

by the way purge block weighed 1.2 pounds. at least the fail was my fault (kinda)

didn't even weigh it. not that much. I knew this test was gonna be a filament eater

Yeah ¾ of a whole spool of purge is … scary

blame the 3900 tool changes. i know i could have saved some by making the purge abit smaller.. but its ok. all about the till changes

i printed 2 things that was over 200mm so on mine i have clearance.

ya 100% my bad. the dumb useless filament sensor wire wasn't all the way in.

i can tell you that as the height increases there is a concern to how the orange tube deforms in a very upwards 'U' shape and how much more friction this introduces to the unload/load cycle.

many of my tall prints happened to end with one color requiring no color changes for the last 10-20mm
