Super fine hair

So I've had no luck doing a multi tool print yet. Right now I'm set up as a plain MK3S while I print some auto rewind spools and a few other things.

The first holder I printed (Inland PLA) was perfect. Just pulled the base for the second off (SuperFila PLA) off and the vertical spaces we're full of hairs (like a spider moved in!). They were fine enough that if it had been one or two I probably wouldn't have noticed them.

As these are the same filaments I was trying to use through the MMU I'm wondering if this hair issue might be related to my MMU issues. Could it be related or is the retraction for movement different enough from the MMU retraction that it's not?

If it is/might be, what can I do to try to control it (single color I'd live with it and hit it with my heat gun).

RE: Super fine hair

I'd try printing a temperature tower to guage what is the best temperature for your filament as it is now. I need to stress that, because the same filament's behaviour will change over time.

My feeling that Prusa has hundreds of hours of perfect prints says more about the filament they're using than we'd expect.

I just think we need an Mmu2s2 to fix the extruder IR sensor setup.

RE: Super fine hair

I'm on my 5th and final rewind spool now (this and the last two printed through the MMU with dual color clutch and dial) using a mix of Amazon and Inland PLA. A few have generated the same super fine hair, but not to the same extent. So far it hasn't seemed to cause any issues...
