soluble not working in the mmu2s

Hi, I have set up my MMU2S on a MK3S. PLA runs fine on all 5 feeds (took out that stupid buffer and cut the tubes to 50 mm to avoid all the friction).

Now I try to run PVA (bought from Prusa - Prima Select).

It feeds - pulls back - feeds - extruder spits out a ball of material and then extruder runs to the back.

Where should I look for?

Also - if the LCD menu asks for material there is no PVA in the list. pla is the lowest temp selectable where the PVA box recommends 180-210 Could this be the cause?

Thanks for your help!

Regards, Peter

I solved it. The IR sensor gave a steady 1 with PLA. With the PVA it gave a 1 and pushing further towards the extruder a 0. This is why it went wrong. I guess the PVA is a bit softer. So adjusting the chimney is very important and very sensitive. Moving it a fraction to the right helped. Maybe a fine adjustment screw would help here.

and the temperature - first layer calibration can only be done with the types provided in the lcd display. the temp for the pva is set in the g code.

So all solved now.
