so im up to filament #3 and
issues on 3 4 and 5 while feeding into the mmu unit. these filaments seem to like to curl going past the 5 gear set.
and ideas while I poke around?

Re: so im up to filament #3 and
seems all 3 filaments are abit on the curly side. I will just try others. a shame one is a new silver too.

Re: so im up to filament #3 and
is the jam happening on the first manual load or after it hits the hotend and came back and forth a few cycles?
in the first manual load you bend the filament straight so it can get past that first run into the extrude to make the melted tip.
when it backs out the pulley teeth kind of shape that filament about 1/4 back into the TPFE tubes to the spool.
maybe increase the spring tension so the pulley bits a little more on the right hand side of the assembly.
the left side by 1 and 2 bit heavier because the weight of the hinged assembly is mostly on that left side. so 1 and 2 are getting shaped by the pulley more then 3,4,5 so my thought it turn the spring tension up a little on the right side and see if it shapes the filament straighter.
i run the left side lighter then the right side because of this. otherwise 1,2 and grip too much and cause striping.

Re: so im up to filament #3 and
ya, im trying that kinda stuff. a shame. BUT at least I got allot of 2 color prints out fast. 😀 I get whats going on, just not why yet. at least I can just do it from the operator panel. unlike the barbaric mmu menu. wonder if they can make a program to run on a computer. just to talk to the mmu 😀

Re: so im up to filament #3 and
update so for now. I have 1 2 3 and 5 working. I can live with that for abit. I was only on test #3 anyhow.

at least "change filament" still works 😀
