Printer resets itself all the time
Hi,
so this issue I only have when the MMU2 is connected. I start a print then the printer does the bed leveling and then just before the filament starts loading the printer resets. I tried it 3 or 4 times always the same result. Same happens when I choose to load to the noozle. The printer heats up and then when the temperature is reached. Boom reset and the printer reboots.
Any idea?
Thanks
Re: Printer resets itself all the time
are the mmu2 light flashing?
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
Yes the light is blinking green. Sometimes the filament goes down, then up again then down again and up and then shows an error.
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
I am having the exact same problem. I've been able to run a menu initiated First Level Calibration, but the printer resets just as described above when trying to print from SD. Firmware on Mk3S = 3.7.0-2201, MMU2 = 1.0.5-297
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
I think it is the IR sensor. I had issue with it all the time. It showed 0 even with the filament loaded. So I disconnected the MMU and printed out
the idler again. Now it works. But still not perfect. Here is the file I used for the reprint:

RE: Printer resets itself all the time
That's awesome! I'm vapor locking on where to observe the IR sensor status, is that noted on the LCD?
Thanks!
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
Yes go to menu item status and then there is a menu item with sensors
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
Thanks! 😀 I just read the manual for the 3rd time and finally saw it in Section 7.1. Don't know why I glazed over it in previous reads.
RE: Printer resets itself all the time
Success!! In my case it was the FINDA that was triggering inappropriately. Now 5 layers into my first multi-material print!
Thanks!
