Any help would be appreciated because I am stuck and Prusa Customer Service has been non-existent..
 
Anyway, I am trying install my MMU2S on my MK3S+ and am having some issues. Apologies for the long description, but I thought it might help. I assembled everything ok *as far as I can tell".
 
Initial Problem:
I was able to load Filament 1 (generic PLA) though the MMU2S to the extruder, though it would then always back the filament back to the MMU2S as if it wasn't found via the sensor (It would pull the PLA into the extruder, and maybe 30 seconds later, send the PLA back up to the MMU2S. I was thinking it was an IR issue, but I haven't tried to fix that yet. Instead, I tried to load Filament 2 but I could not get it to work because the blade of the Selector-Finda was digging in to the Front PTFE Holder and would stop moving. I disassembled the Selector-Finda and made sure it could freely move back and forth manually. A video of the "before" is here.
 
New Problem:
OK, so once I put that back together, I was worse off.  Now, I can't get any filament to load into the MMU2S, let alone the Extruder.
 
Now there is grinding/tapping from the Idler Body when I try to do anything, including loading filament, pressing buttons or even just turning on the printer. I can't get the Selector-Finda to travel at all using the manual buttons. I've tried with the MMU2S put together and loose, thinking maybe I over tightened something. I also checked the pulleys to make sure there is no debris. Everything seems ok, but I now get 5 red lights anytime I tried to load filament and this grinding/tapping noise from the Idler.  There are videos here of the same issue from two angles.
 
Any ideas on where I should start? Thanks.

How have you contacted support? For best response, log into the online store and contact support via the chat function. Email is normally used for ongoing troubleshooting and is not quick to respond initially.

I don't use the MMU2, so unfortunately can't offer more help.

I watched your video.  Have you removed the screws holding the idler body down?  They should be flush with the top of the unit when in.  You should be able to lift the top but feel the resistance.  do not over tighten them.  

Other things to check.  wiring, all connections good and tight.  idler moves freely with power off?  Check for cracks on the idler by the two screws on the left, people over tighten this and it cracks.  Finda should allow filament to pass through easily, do not clamp it down too tightly.  

Your other issue sounds like the IR sensor isn't triggering.  You need to read up on that, lot of people have discussed it.  I've fitted a modded version to mine but I believe Prusa have updated it relatively recently.

you definitely have to have both the finda and the ir sensor calibrated or you're gonna have a bad time.

Something I just discovered is that you can also have random failures if your extruder idler screw is too tight.  I've been working through support via email and they are very helpful. 

I'm doing what I hope is a successful attempt, my 8th, of this 5 material print.

Support suggested I run my print with the Sensor info showing so I could see the state of the IR and finda sensors during print.

I would suggest the same

Did you ever get this working?

I went from being ready to trash the MMU to having a pretty much fire and forget setup.

I even reprinted the MMU parts lol  and have recently completed 2d prints with 1700+ filament changes.
