Layers not bonding

Hello!

I finally have my mmu2s printing for 5 hours continuosly, but..

Once the print is completed, I find the layers bond is so week that I can peel them off with my nail.

It happens with Petg/HIPS and TPU/PVA. I also have a LACK enclosure.

The layer adhesion is good on single filament print but I have the impression that the filament change is so slow that the last layer cooldown too much and the new one cannot stick to it.

I tried to run TPU/PVA without fan at all and 205c.

I tried to run PETG/HIPS with a 50% fan and 260c.

Note: I don't see any residue of the old filament after a tool change in the color/struture of the print.

Help?

David

RE: Layers not bonding

did you increase the purge value between dissimilar filaments?

I did not. It is currently set to the default 140. What should be a good amount? 180-220-300?

If you are trying to print different types of filament onto each other this is the normal behavior, it is very difficult (or impossible) to get those to stick together. The MMU is more like a MultiColorOfTheSameFilamentUnit, not a true MutiMaterialUnit.

It's not that much that I want the different material to stick to each other but the layers of the same material to stick.

You need to do test prints to see if you can find a suitable value. too large a value makes the waste pile huge
