Large filament globs causing crashing on purge block
Hello! I've made some progress after upgrading my MK3S to add the MMU2S unit but I can't seem to figure out how to stop the printer from extruding a large amount of filament into the purge block. Below are my most recent attempts:
Obviously with this much filament its easy to see where the printer would crash into these bumps. Is there a way for me to either reduce or eliminate the purging step its doing in slic3r PE?
I saw this option and set the minimum value to 0 but that doesn't appear to have helped.
I'm printing with Amazonbasics PLA using these settings:
Any thoughts on what to change here? The MMU2S unit has been fantastic at loading/unloading so once I have this issue fixed I hope I'll be all set.

are you sure you have the correct firmware loaded?
at thebeginning of your message you say mk3 mmu2, at the end you say mk3s mmu2s.... they use different firmwares...

I hadn't thought of that one yet so I reflashed it to the package below:

The front panel is showing MK3S. I reprinted the object after flashing it but I can see already that it's globbing up again.

I had changed a wide variety of settings in slic3r to attempt to make my printer's configuration work. Ultimately along the way debugging I found some hardware issues where I haddn't properly set a few screws. Ultimately what fixed my issue was tightening all screws appropriately and then removing all of my customization and going back to the defaults in slic3r.

in the printer settings tab, under "single extruder MM set" the last setting is called "extra loading distance". make sure this is set to -25 or else it will blob on the purge block
