Issues with first layers and MMU2

We recently upgraded our printer to include the MMU2 upgrade.  We immediately noticed that during the first layer calibration that the edges of the rectangle curled up.  We tried cleaning the smooth sheet and recalibrating with not much success.  Next we tried printing the Benchy model included with the printer.  The same thing seems to occur as shown in the photographs.  The first layer sticks in some parts but then seems to curl up in others.  If we let the print finish, the model appears to be okay from the top, but the bottom does not look right.  Anyone have any suggestions for what might be occurring?  It might just be a coincidence, but prior to installing the MMU2 upgrade our prints were almost always as expected.  Thank you for any help!

Your first layer is too low + how did you clean the hotbed?

@kumters

Thank you for the reply.  We will tried adjusting the first layer higher, but the filament would not stick correctly.  Could it be a temperature issue?  The ends of artifacts seem to curl up at times.  For cleaning the hotbed, we used alcohol prep pads (70% alcohol).
