Filament not making it out of extruder during color change
So, I see the MMU problems, but haven't seen my specific problem, so my apologies if its been answered already. I'm having a problem with on filament swap, the filament doesn't get pulled back. I get a jam after any color change, and if I go look at the bondtech gears on the estruder, the filament is still probably 30mm past the bondtech gears in the hotend. It's not quite all the way to the business end, but pretty damn close.
So what ends up happening is the MMU retraction starts off nice and slow, then hits it hard to yank it back, but because it's still stuck past the bondtech gears on the extruder, it just chews up the filament. Anyone have any ideas?

During the next unload sequence, get a good light and watch through the side of the extruder. If the bondtech gears are turning normally, but your filament doesn't unload to above the bondtech so that the MMU2 can pull it back, your filament head is stuck in the hot end.
A typical cause for this would be that the filament 'head' was too wide and too solid to pull back into the PTFE tubes or into the cool zone of the e3dv6.
Things to try: print at a higher temperature, or adjust the advanced filament settings to pull back the filament more quickly (before it has a chance to cool).
What temp are you printing at?

I have similar problem. When I print with 1 colour, everything is allright, but when I use more colours there is a problem with extruder. MMU want to change the colour, bud extruder stepper doesn't rotate. This problem is only when use MM colour. When print with 1 colour, or change filament through menu on printer it's fine.
Suggestion?

having a similar problem here, might not be the same but as far as i can tell mine is getting stuck cause the filament has to big of an bulge on the tip. looking into it now cause the more narrow ptfe tube was supposed to reduce this problem but for me at least it seems to not be helping
