Filament load extrudes large chunk of filament in purge tower

Hi all, I have noticed that on a filament change, my printer will extrude a huge chunk of old filament into the purge tower when it loads the next filament. This chunk is quite high (few layers) so when the printer keeps going it will sometimes hit/bump into the purged chunk which causes the hotend to lift up a bit. Is this normal? I spoke to support and they said there isn't much left to do other than maybe reduce the printing temperature (i'm currently doing 200c, I could try 195). Has anyone else seen this also? Attached photo shows what I mean.

Figured it out and updating here for those who may across the same issue, issue was due to the "Extra load distance" setting under "Printer Settings" > "Single Extruder MM Setup". Needs to be -"25" (Default), I forgot that I changed it to "0" during my tweaking of the MMU2S (trying to find right settings to get good tips on unload and prevent jamming etc).
