Failure to load filament

What should I expect when the filament is loaded correctly ?
I followed the manual and press the middle button to get a flashing red light.
Inserted filament and the LED turned green. (just light, no feeling of anything getting hold of the filament)
Then I started the first layer calibration.
But the filament did not move forwards.

Any idea ?

Problem solved:

a wire got caught in the idle body hindering the free rotation of it.

If the filament loaded correctly you should feel the MMU grab hold of the filament and pull it in a couple centimeters, then back it out. The MMU advances the filament until the FINDA detects that it's in the selector.

If the LED turned green without the MMU doing the pull-and-reverse sequence, it's possible that something else tripped the FINDA.

Another possibility is that the MMU is confused about the position of the selector bearing and has the wrong bearing engaged for the filament you're trying to load. This happened to me the first time I tried to load filament, and has happened a couple times since. The solution is to push the reset button next to the USB port on both the MMU and the MK3.

Yeah, that would do it too.
