Cutting the filament leading tip questions.

At first I was having trouble getting the filament to reach the point where idler bearings would touch them. This may be a strange way to say it, but I corrected the problem by cutting the end at the sharpest angle, holding the filament with my left hand and the cutting tool in my right hand and also using the tool to cut pointed up. I figured out if that doesn't work, then move my right hand above the filament tip and cut a sharp angle down. The two different hand positions are two different sides of the filament being cut because the stiffness of the PLA and the curvature means I'm really holding it the same way every time I put it down and pick it up again. I hope this makes sense. I can put the point on the left side or put the point on the right side. And putting the point on whatever will be the best side has gotten me beyond the first stop that was giving me trouble.

But now I am into the same problem again. It seems there is a second stop before the filament can ever reach the FINDA probe. I wondered if there was a blockage so I tried it the wrong direction. Filament goes in the wrong direction from the opposite side of the FINDA and it reaches the filament I wish I could load and even pushes it back into the direction it comes from the spool. Whatever stop is not letting the loading filament to reach the FINDA has no effect and has no stop on any "wrong way" filament.

Do I need to think of a way to get a spear point that maybe can clear both the stops? Or did I do something wrong with the kit assembly? The razor blade has been temporarily removed for troubleshooting this issue and it is not the cause of the stop.

I'd be happy to get a single color print right now, but I need to understand the issue better because how is it supposed to switch between colors if each filament needs extra care each time it would be used?

Thank you.

I put the long filament tubes that accept from the spools and the razor blade back on. This time I had a piece of filament in the tube so I could actually feel how tight I was going and how that affected the tube inner diameter.

The second stop I was hitting in front of the FINDA isn't there anymore, either. Filaments load now.
