Cannot get 1st layer to stick

I upgraded to the MMU 2S aftert having had a run over over 6 months of click and print with reasonably reliable results. Then I started to have difficulty getting a print to adhere to the bed, with blobs around the extruder, etc...

I took this as motivation to add the MMU2S I purchased months and months ago... Hey, the printer was already not working right, so let's just muck things up further... <S>

Anywoo, I did this, and the MMU is working as correctly as I can tell - Filament is loading, it changes when I ask, etc.

But, even after a firmware upgrade, new software and half a dozen of bed leveling and full calibrations, I cannot get the printer to extrude a proper first layer. I am seeing the wipe come up rather thick, then the zig-zag goes across very thinly and finally, IF it makes it to the square, it drags the layers across each other until they catch the nozzle and blob up....

I wasn't able to update the firmware of the MMU2S - It just reported an error, but it's realatively updated (1.0.3) and works for extruding if I just use Octoprint to shoot out, say 20 mm of filament. I have tried 2 different brands of PLA.

I have a spare nozzle, should I try replacing that?

Any ideas would be most welcomed.

Ok, I did a cold pull, I have attached an image... It think it's pretty good. So does that rule out the nozzle?

(for some reason, I can't get the image to display or attach... Will try again, but in case it doesn't upload again, it's pretty textbook...)

Update:

I just re-tried the bed leveling and in both PLA nad TPU, it appears that it's under-extruding.
