Autorestart when about to start the print
Hey guys, I'm currently running into an issue where my printer will go through the calibration, and when it is about to make the first print, it stops and restart, and I don't know why. Has anyone run into the same problem?
Background:
Printer: i3 MK3S MMU2s
Connected to Raspberry Pi for OctoPrint
Inside a lack enclosure
Tried:
1. Was using octoprint, then switch to SD card
2. Update prusa slider and created a new GCode
3. Yelling at it

There are two known bugs, one with octoprint and multi-extruder setups, and one where the filament sensor state can cause this problem. So:
-> Try from SD without octoprint. If that works, check your print config. I believe there may also be a fix coming in the 3.9 firmware. Sounds like you tried this already.
-> If that still doesn't work, check your IR sensor and FINDA. The printer will soft reset if their states do not agree, e.g. the FINDA reads 0 and the IR reads 1 at print start. Make sure you have adjusted them both as described in the manual.

@vintagepc
Hey Vintagepc, yup I double-check and there was an issue with my Finda probe. I fix the probe and now everything is back to normal. Thanks!

Could you say what your problem is? Mines doing similar. New install, new to 3D Printing and Pi and Octopi lol. Everything seems to be setup per instructions, but when I try to print from Octoprint (or iphone apps), the printer starts preheat, starts pressure purge, goes to center of buildplate, and stops. Nozzle and bed target values go to zero. Everything works fine from SD card.
Sounds very similar to your issue.
Thanks for any insight.

Gonna add to this one. Issue seems to have come out of no where on an i3 MK3S running 3.8.1. Printer prints all day long just fine when fed from OctoPrint printing many different files, but now for some reason any time I try to put a .gcode file onto the SD card the printer will restart immediately after clicking the file on the printers screen to start the print. Never used to do that, thats for sure.
Ive tried unplugging the USB cable from the Raspberry Pi and trying to print from the SD card and had the same result.
Going to try upgrading to 3.9.0 and see if somehow it is the issue vintagepc mentioned. Kinda odd that it just randomly started happening though.
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success!
