I replaced my power supply with a Mean Well SE-450 mounted outside the LACK table enclose and used 2 XT60's for the main power connectors. I use XT30's for other support equipment (fans, LED's, etc.) Been running about a month now, no problems.

Cool, thanks for sharing your experiance and good to hear. Smart using XT30 for the rest of the connections.

Btw why replace the PSU, does it help, heat the bed quicker?

The original power supply would not support the LED's, flicker, turned off, etc. Other posts have a number of people replacing their power supply's with a larger unit, usually a 320watt unit. I went with a larger one to run a heater for the enclosure as well. I have stl files for the 450 if you are interested.

On the XT connectors, be sure that both halves are connected together before soldering, they will get hot and change alignment if you don't.

I am used to XT60 connectors, I also use them for my LIPO's en quadcopters. But indeed, wise to keep em connected when soldring.

Does it heat the extruder and bed quicker?

And a heater for the enclosure, handy when printing ABS. Does it work as expected?

No noticeable change in the heating times as the voltage is the same just maybe a little more stable.

I have not yet connected the heater but indeed it is to help with ABS warping issues.

What heater do you have?

Btw, I notice with my enclosure the temp gets around 41 deg, depending on the outside temp, heated only by the heatbed and extruder.
I must say, it really helps, my ABS prints dont warp

I prefer an XT60 variant like the XT60-L for things that I don't expect to unplug constantly.
This one has a locking mechanism and mounting tabs to secure it.

Hey can i get those file or some instruction/pic on how you setup your enclosure please, i also would like to see the best way to set up my Prusa i3 mk3 without having to open and disconnect the from the main board every time you might need to move or remove the printer.

I have the cables from the power supply just running through and hole in the Lack table also, what about the black/white wire i think its for the power panic, can that be installed by quick disconnect too, maybe make a new main board case, there's a heap of messy cables that just hang out the bottom of the case, i wanted to design and case that hides/most of the cables and the power and say LED string could plug into from the outside of the case without having to open the main board case and disconnect all the time?

Sorry might seam silly question but I'm not very experience in wiring or electronics..
