Upgrading Noctua Fan 10mm to 20mm
Hey guys, broke my left extruder fan by pinching the tech cable and it spins but it no longer detected by the printer.
When sourcing a replacement, the PC part store didn't have the 40mm/10mm variant Noctua Fan available but did have the higher airflow 40mm/20mm variant.
They gave me a good price and I'm looking to shave 10mm into the extruder body to accommodate this thicker fan, the original 10mm thick one only just fits the frame boundaries as it is.
This other fan has 15% more airflow so should cool the extruder faster/better as a result also.
Is anyone aware of someone doing this already? I can model well enough to do what I want with the official files but would prefer not to if I don't have to.
Cheers!
