RE: Tungsten Alloy Nozzle?
If you need to poke something out of the way, with a needle, you probably have some sort of rubbish in the extruder, which is likely to re assert it's self shortly after being poked out of the way...
Ohlsson, say that poking needles into their ruby nozzles voids the warrantee...
I used the needle with my first printer... didn't find it fixed things properly, and haven't used one since. Some folk swear by COLD PULLS, but aparrently that voids your warrantee on Nozzle X nozzles...
I generally find that heating the nozzle to a higher than normal temperature, then pushing the filament through with mu fingers above the extruder pushes out most blockages... If that doesn't shift the blocakge I generally change the nozzle to get the printer working again, and if it's a brass nozzle I throw the old one away, if it's a more exotic nozzle I clean it off the printer
Acetone dissolves ABS And ASA. pliers and a heatgun plus brass wire brush clear a multitude of ailments, and with the nozzle out of the printer you can heat the nozzle with a heatgun, and poke a bit of filament into the back of the nozzle, to see if the nozzle has been cleared.
Don't use wire brushes on nozzles in theprinter, whilst the printer is turned on, it is possible to damage your einsy rambo board...
