Relocating PSU, orientation
I am going to relocate the PSU outside of an enclosure due to heat, and I am wondering if the PSU should remain in the same vertical orientation for cooling. Was planning to design a part that I can print to make it freestanding on the bench surface. Thanks

You should certainly make sure that the ventilation cuts of the PSU are unobstructed and it probably helps if they don't look upwards so that the interior isn't getting dusty quite as fast. Looking downwards is probably also limiting air exchange and therefore passive ventilation. If it makes a big difference in which of the remaining orientations you leave it I don't know.

Those PSU are fitted to all sorts of equipment and at all sorts of orientations. Usually flat with the terminals at the back of most equipment is the common way. The upright method on the MK3 is not common.
As Thejiral says, as long as the cooling vents are not obstructed then it wont make much difference.
