Overkill in most cases but should work fine. Just don't expect the Einsy - or the PSU - to power it.

It needs a solid 3 amp supply. Fan would not hurt either.

I upgraded to Raspberry Pi 4 because my 3+ had problems with the web interface at long prints.

Now everything works flawless without webinterface freezing.

While it is overkill, it’ll do more for you longer. Also, if you don’t mind the extra money, the 4gb is noticeably faster when running Octoprint and Octoscreen. I’ve got a 4gb on my MK3s and a 2gb on my Ender.

I have 8 printers now with raspberry pi 4s.  It is definitely worth the investment.

I just purchase a Raspberry Pi 4, a case, and an external power supply for it.  I also purchased a Little Red Toaster cable to connect the Pi to the Einsy Rambo board. 

As I don't want to draw any power from the Einsy, can anyone tell me which pin(s) I don't need (from the original Raspberry Pi Zero W instructions) and I can simply disregard/break off?

I've measured current consumption of my RPI4 running octoprint (passive cooling, no camaera)  and it idles at ~0.1A, reaching peak current of 0.7A during boot. I guess you'll be perfectly fine powering it from 2A Einsy regulator. However if you really don't want to, just cut first pin in the row of four (see connector pinout here)

BTW, I found disabling SD card support in OctoPrint's "Features" allows noticably faster population of the web interface file list.

Allowing SD card support bogs things down even when no SD card is inserted.
