Problem with SD card size !!!  

Unless you use Octoprint to send files to the Printer SD card there is no reason to have a SD card in the printer. The downside of sending to the priners SD card is that it's horribly slow and you lose Octoprints real time control.

I believe (although I don't know how to do it) that some Octoprint users feel that they get better quality results by sending files to the Printer SD card then printing from there. Don't really understand why those users even bother with Octoprint, but thats just me. Personally I like the hassle free slice and print immediately option.

Again my be wrong but isn't Octoprint displaying data from the Pi SD card?

The card may have been partitioned or only partially formatted.  Some older devices (cameras?) do this when they have limited addressing capabilities so re-using cards can reveal surprises.

To examine partitions on a Pi:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

sudo apt-get install gparted

Running gparted

sudo startx

Then from the start menu select run and enter ‘gparted’

@Diem I think the OP is referring to the SD in the printer rather than the Pi.

The same procedure applies when it's plugged into the Pi with an adapter, gparted is more capable than most Windows partition managers.

Solution found

I have solved the problem ! The card was full because of timelapse recordings. I now deleted all of them and octoprint showed again the full capacity of the card (raspberry pi) installed !

Pi or printer

Just to beat this to death, was ith SD card in the Pi or the printer?

Been there, still have the tee-shirt.

Must have been the SD-card of the Pi

As time lapse videos are stored on the Pi and not on the SD-card of the printer.
