Porifi3D Motors to solve the VFA problem?
Hey,
I am quite annoyed with the VFA problem on my new Prusa Mk3s+ and trying to solve it so far without luck. I tried Extruder Linearity Correction and a experimental Idler door by Mehaidesigns.
Porifi3D claims to have a solution, but 100€ for motors is a lot. Have anyone tried them yet and can tell if they really work?

Or also if anyone could fix this problem in some other way it would be super interesting of course

Thinking about pulling the trigger. Moons motors are expensive to get here, and even just an extruder motor would be pricey. The pack from these guys isn't that much more expensive for me so I may just do it. If I do I'll let you know.

Yes would be definitely great to know, if you buy them

Hey - I was able to find that the Moons 1.8 motor can be shipped to me after all. I'm going to buy one for the Extruder, as from the Mega-thread it's stated that the extruder gives a bigger bang for buck for VFA reduction by using the Moons 1.8.
I'll try that first, and then based on that, see about Prorifi. They're... not cheap.

Hi! I recently replaced stock Prusa motors with Prorifi3D kit on my MK3s, and I can see an improvement. I've only have one test print - 3D Benchy printed with the same gcode before and after the change. Here are some photos I've took:

Thank you a lot for sharing!
I cant tell any FVA on the Porifi Version.
I will experiment a little further, when I have time, I thought about to add a super little fuzzy skin to stop the motors do the same and get a little randomization.
But your comment makes me think about actually buying them.

Just noticed I wrote it wrong the whole time. It is: Prorifi3d not Porifi3d

One more thing, did you also experienced less noise from the printer? Would be interested in that

I'm not sure if it's quieter or not. I would say that my printer was quiet with the stock motors already and it's quiet still after the change.

Yeah, I'm especially impressed with the improvement on the cabin roof visible in the second photo.
If you are considering buying the motors, keep in mind that only the VFA issue is improved. It doesn't help with ringing or stringing :).
