Online Emergency Stop?
Hi,
my Prusa I3 MK3 ist running somethime over night in my Office. To see what he is doing i've installed a net cam and now i'm thinking about what i can do in case of emergency. The Printer is connected to my Pc and it would be great when i can stop the Printer over my pc (TeamViewer). At first i wanted to use Pronterface for it but by my first test i've got a heatbed error by using it (may be used incorrectly?). Is there an other way to stop the Printer by my pc?
thx forward
Re: Online Emergency Stop?
You can use Octoprint to monitor you computer and it has an e-stop plug in.
Octoprint and Homeassistant can be used together to turn off a smart switch/outlet to cut the power to computer if needed.
Re: Online Emergency Stop?
100% Octoprint is a life saver. and at around 5-10 bucks for a tiny pi. you really cant go wrong.
I have a Prusa,therefore I research.
Re: Online Emergency Stop?
I didn’t use a pc option. I instead went with a cheap power strip connected to my network that allows me to shut off each of the outlets individually through an app on my phone. Has saved me from having a major mess a couple times.
