@heneryh

Thanks.  I found their wiki - I'll start messing with it in between prints 😉  Does it need to run in the same environment that OctoPrint is launched from?

That display is huge.  I have thought about using an old TV and cycling through my printers.

If it was any smaller, I would have a hard time seeing it.  I'm guessing there's a way to increase font size (if I get annoyed enough).

I was running a print yesterday evening, and I launched Minecraft-Pi - didn't last long till I died cuz all i could do was dig down.  Must need to use a keyboard and the mouse ...

Print stream never noticed.

No love yet in the "take a picture from octoprint".  My raspicam command line utilities are working - and the camera will take a snapshot or a video.  But that is as far as I have gotten.  What I want to do is be able to see my print bed from the browser in my kitchen.  I had hopes that the octoprint webcam page would be of use - but it seems to require you to install a web server and then use that web server to expose the camera.  Odd since octoprint is a web server not sure why they don't just have support for the raspicam.

I tried the deflecting advice I saw on another thread to go to the Octoprint forums - hooo boy, what a mess - I browsed the web cam help section for 30 min - and was not able to find a "how to make raspicam and octoprint work together.  All of the articles assumed you downloaded octopi - a preconfigured raspberry PI image.  I just have my raspberry pi, installed Octoprint the command line way.

Anybody crack this simple thing yet?

My son is working on a program to run a Raspberry Pi Zero W with a large screen that shifts between the printers.
