OctoPrint Disconnect After Filament Change
Hi...
- FW version: 3.4.0
- RPi used: 3
- OctoPrint: 0.15.1
- Method of the connection: USB
- Filament sensor on/off: ON
- Crash detection on/off: ON
Was printing from OctoPrint. After running out of filament, and the MK3 let me load a new spool, the print head moved back to where it was on the print, and didn't do anything else. I checked OctoPrint, and it was disconnected. Obviously after reconnecting it reset the printer so I lost the print job and had to restart.
Re: OctoPrint Disconnect After Filament Change
I encountered the same (or very similar issue). I was printing from Octoprint 1.3.10 running on a RBP zero w with an MK3 running FW 3.6-2069.
I woke up to a half-done print and an empty filament spool. The head had traveled to top Z. There was no message on the LCD and Octopi reported the print had finished.
I changed the filament, the nozzle seemed clogged and had to probe it. After successfully loading a new filament there was no way to restart the print.
As I write this I think that maybe the nozzle clogged at the very end and therefore the filament sensor never triggered and the printer thought it had finished. Or, it is a real issue with the software.
