Nova Hotend?

I am pretty excited about this kickstarter campaign. In case this really works I´d love to see a mod for the mk3.
What do you think?

Looks impressive moving that amount which will cool the heat sink, but if printing small detail, the print head will hardly move through the air, so will require forced cooling, also seeing how it's only secured at the top by two screws and is quite long, I would be concerned with flex.
I would like to see a video where it prints a compact detailed tall object for at least half an hour.

It may be good, but I would personally wait until parts are readily available and proven and consistent and good price performance ratio like E3d are at the moment.

It's good that new players are trying to get into the scene as it gives us more choice and pushes the boundaries of what FDM printing can achieve.

This thing has a 100w option, Volcano is limited to 60w, if I recall the specs right (one page suggests a 40w cartridge might be available, for 80w total).

Design of this won't fit a Mk3 though; so it's all a thought experiment until someone designs the rest of the kit. The tungsten carbide tip sounds interesting for people printing carbon fiber.

where does the thermistor / pt100 go? it seems to be hidden round the back in the pictures

there seems to be negligible thermal mass in the design, with a high power heater, is likely to cause significant temperature fluctuations

the 100watt heater may fry the einsy / rambo, or powersupply.

what is the control mode for say a thermistor that comes loose? still responding, but not reporting actual heatblock temperature? with 100 watts heating 'on tap', there is very little time for fault recovery!

wonder what makes it Clog Proof... there are so many ways to clog an extruder, being Clog Proof is a massive claim!

If you look closely at the picture (Zoom in with ctrl + middle mouse wheel on windows), you can see a hole in the hot end block which runs parallel with the hot end nozzle, leaving very little material between the thermistor and nozzle.
Unless the nozzle manufacturer has figured out how to produce a smooth tapering hole from the entrance to the nozzle exit, I can't see how they could claim it is literally clog-proof.
