New user nozzle questions...

Hi all,

Got my MK3S kit last Thursday and I've been printing almost non-stop ever since Friday. I ordered some Prusa Orange PETG and some Prusa PLA Mystic Green but I'm thinking I should probably order nozzles too (because I'll probably just use a new one as opposed to cleaning). Is there an approximate time before a nozzle goes bad, and how do you know? Should I just keep ordering the E3D V6 nozzles (brass) if I plan (for now) to just print PLA and PETG?  Is there any maintenance of a nozzle to extend its' life? Are they difficult to change (I'm sure this is covered in the online docs but haven't read them yet...but I will)?

Also, not related to nozzles, is there any harm to letting the printer work through the night or even when I'm at work with regard to fire danger?

Thanks for reading!

RE: New user nozzle questions...

No. You don't need to change the nozzles when you only print PETG or PLA. And there is no need to clean it when you change the filament type. Only you can load a little more new filament when you change it.

The service life of the nozzle is very long if it does not print abrasive filaments (nylon, carbon fil, etc.). Do not worry about it.

I printed many pieces at night and when I left home to work. Today, three years after I bought the printer, my house is fine. There has been no fire.

Sorry for my poor English. I try to do my best.
