Need to replace the extruder body, which one to print?
Hello,
Due much ABS printing with high temperature my pinda holder is not horizontal anymore, the angle is afecting first layer and i can't fix it with force, maybe with heat but that will not be the optimal solution.
Now i want to print a new extruder body using ABS to prevent this in the future, but i not decided yet which one.
Should i print the stock or go for a modded one? Mean now that i need to reprint i like to opt for the best, like an improved body for flex?
But it must be compatible with the current R2 parts.

Stock

https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2905638 (Flex improved but i'm not sure if compatible with stock parts, since they have all parts to print)

What should i go for?

Print stock. Don't add two variables at once.
If all goes well with the ABS version, print the modified version. Install when you feel 'lucky'.

I just had a Pinda failure (which the Prusa people handled without issue) and while I was waiting for the Pinda to arrive I printed the R2 X axis carriage and back and the new R3 extruder. It went together really well and it prints really well. I also added a heatbreak and nozzle from P3D with the Duraplat3-D plateing. I had the extruder apart so figured why not. The plating is supposed to make the filament path "slipperier". I will say that the print quality is the best it's been on my MK3. Recommended..

Well before the R3 parts are alive i printed the flex improved extruder body and that come out great and really improve the flex. Better then R2 part for sure.
