My Pi 3B mount

Hey all,
I recently completed a design for a Raspberry Pi case which mounts to the MK3's Extrusion. I mount it on the right side, front where it's partially hidden under the bed. It could also mount to the rear or under the printer entirely, but I like where I have it if I want to see the ACT light or swap the MicroSD card.

I'd love to hear suggestions or other thoughts.
OpenSCAD and STL files are available on Thingiverse

Thanks for sharing. Could you share a bit more on how you did the connections to the Einsy?

It's dead simple. The Pi and the Einsy connect via standard USB A->B cable. That is, it connects the exact same way your computer does when you flash the firmware. You can even use the USB cable that came with the printer. (I like this one better though: Amazon ) since it stays out of the cable bundle's path a bit better.

The Pi runs OctoPrint which is designed to connect over USB. You're probably thinking about the Einsy's on-board Pi headers, which are only used when connecting a Pi Zero W internally. I did not go that route because I already had a Pi 3 and a USB webcam for the Pi 3. And I think the ZeroW is just a bit under powered for OctoPrint.

Which USB webcam?

Logitech C270. It’s plug-and-play with octopi, but I’m still working on mounting location, and focus. So I’m not entirely happy with that yet...
