A one piece TC nozzle is more appealing than a tip insert that is still steel except for the tip insert.
Sent an order cancellation request to DYZE design. They were impressively slow still "processing" my order anyways.
Put in an order with spool3d. We'll see how they do. If theirs is a winner with the Mosquito, I've found my new nozzle for future orders.
One side effect of Mosquito
After a day of polycarb printing with mosquito + brass nozzle, I can confidently state that the Mosquito is dumping less heat into my enclosure. Normally, my enclosure will be at least 38-39C under these conditions. It's consistently staying at 33C with the Mosquito.
That's a side effect that makes sense given Slice's steep heat break thermal gradient. If elevated enclosure temperature is a major goal, you may need to add enclosure heating when using a Mosquito.

FYI - this is my 2nd attempt at a TC Nozzle. The first I got from Canada but it seemed to be bored out to accept 3mm filament. It was not too good. So far I'm very happy with the one from Singapore (I'm sure it will have been imported from China). You can tell it is TC as it is much heavier in the hand. I don't expect to change the nozzle all that often (though I do have a range of sizes from E3D) and it is not that much of a hassle to set the Z-Level anyway. What I am surprised about, is how little PETG builds up on the TC Nozzle. It is much better than brass and as good as the Nozzle-X.... but with better thermals. Thanks for you profile, and I've tweaked mine a bit. Currently printing test Frogs and I'll post the results (using your higher fan speed and at 250 and 245c). I'm just printing the first 1/5th so I can examine the infill quality and it get the first part of the belly that is the hardest to print.

The 1/5th print at 250c looks good with the higher fan speed. The 1/5th print at 245c developed some blobs that the print head kept hitting so I've cancelled it. Now doing a full print @ 250c (note the eSun PETG recommended print range is 230-250 so all good).

Hi jmone; Nice TC nozzel results,
Ordered a .4 TC nozzel from Spool3D. $75 USD is a healthy price for a single nozzle. But these combined metal characteristics would require an expensive production process. A two piece nozzel would be much cheaper to produce. Question; no sticking materials? Cleans as well as the Vanadium nozzel?
I'm stuck on the Mosquito and will never go back to the screw and block architecture. Maybe you found the allusive unicorn nozzel we've all been looking for...

I've only printed PETG and PLA so far on the TC Nozzle but I've got a wide range of material I can test with. Let me know what you want me to test with and rip out a frog or two. So far the nozzle has been pretty non stick.

PETG seems to be the niggle for the Vanadium nozzel. It has been the selected testing material for the forum thread. The Vanadium nozzel is non-stick and cleans up in a snap. I'm confident this is one of the reasons the PLA prints are reliably and consistently excellent in quality. In general I'm curious about the sticking properties when printing with PETG
Due to non availability I ordered the TC nozzel from Canada. Hoping to receive a good quality sample. If this is truly a Tungsten Carbide alloy its difficult to machine and pass QA. Would also need some type of treatment for sticking as well.
You received a poor quality sample?

Yes, but also remember I am using it with a brass nozzle. It's printing very nicely at 290C. You can grab my current profile from the polycarbonate 3mf at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3651160
It is a bit different from what was up there a few weeks ago. Now is more a traditional PC profile. It is now hotter and uses practically no fan, but the changes are not due to using Mosquito. It's was more for improving layer adhesion.
Mosquito + brass has been working will with PolyMax. Fantastic fusion albeit a bit of fine stringing occurs. Easily cleans up with a hot air pencil.
Currently testing a print with Priline polycarbonate.

James, For a minute, I thought you meant that YOU were live streaming.
BTW, if you haven't used polycarbonate two things are vital
1. Enclosure (doesn't have to be heated, but warmer is better for less warping)
2. Prep the smooth Prusa PEI print plate with glue stick. Coat entire surface with one pass of glue stick. Dissolve and spread the glue with wet paper towel. Let dry at 100C for a few minutes. That will make a reliable bonding surface for Polymax or Priline. My profile includes a brim. I found that some parts would partially warp if I skipped the brim. Live-Z final verification during brim printing is a nice side benefit.

I'm surprised nobody has pointed out that your part fan shroud in the original picture still has the support brace (Thin strip between the openings) attached. You should definitely remove that or cooling performance will not be optimal.
I fail to see which support do you refer to... 😕
I've been looking through the guide, https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+E-axis+assembly/1055?lang=en#s18578 , so i can check if i have it correctly but not sure which support i should look ... :-/

If you print from STL, the fan shroud STL includes an intrinsic support portion between the side nozzles and in front of the center nozzle. That is the portion I have indicated as red in attached pict.

I was surprised to see how well nylon performed on the powder coated bed. I have both smooth and powder coated.. Will use the smooth for Polycarbonate
