Lint buildup in top of Extruder body

I had previously posted about a problem with lint & dust being drawn into the top of the extruder body by certain filaments that have an obvious, visible electrostatic attraction for dust & lint.

But apparently even visually clean filament still has some dust or lint on it. I store my spools of filament in a sealed box, and my environment is not particularly dusty, so I imagine that this problem is actually pretty common. I discovered this when I was disassembling my MK3 Extruder body in order to replace it with MK3S.

My solution, as before, is to add a cleaner before the filament enters the top of the extruder body. In my particular case, I'm using a section of an old sock. There are many possible solutions, so I don't suggest that there's anything particularly efficient or special about my setup. But in general, users might want to check the top of their extruder bodies from time to time for lint buildup. This could definitely interfere with proper operation of the filament-sensing devices that Prusa uses.

Best solution I have seen for dusty filament is to cut off a small a small piece of sponge (ca 15x15mm) and poke the filament through it then into the extruder.
