How to add an aftermarket heatsync fan

I've finished the process of installing a Slice engineering hotend on the Prusa mk3s I've had for over a year and a half. I decided to get the smaller 24v fan for the heatsync. After removing the noctua fan I installed this one and noticed that there wasn't a signal wire. It is also set up for 24v operation. I tried putting it into the same port of the rambo which the original fan was connected to with the negative and positive wires in the same spot. When I powered up the printer I got a fan error (I assume because the printer is no longer getting signals from the signal wire, or the 24v fan is trying to get 24vv out of a 5v port) There are some extra ports on the rambo which I'd assume are 24v, so is there any firmware I can download to allow the printer to use the fan? thanks

ps I'm not too experienced in modding the actual firmware, just the regular updates.

RE: How to add an aftermarket heatsync fan

The fans on the MK3S need to be 5vand with 3 wires, there is no 24v fan header on the EINSY board. If you want to connect the fan directly to the 24v input terminals you will need to build your own switch and variable speed control.
