Hotend to Loom Connector

advice please:- I want to isolate the hot end from the wiring loom so I can quickly remove the hot end to maintain without trying to maintain while dangling. So I would need to cut the heater cartridge wires and thermistor cartridge wires. What would be the best, tidiest and simplest snap connectors to use? Thanks

You'll need to cut a lot more than that. Steppers, PINDA, fans, and then whatever connector you use must be small enough to avoid impeding X motion range.  Quite the challenge, actually.

But, something like these connectors might work ...

Yes, me too. I see that E3D use Molex Micro-fit 3 for thermistor and on some nozzle heaters. I was thinking of going that route.

Well I’ve spent hours trying to work out how to do this and source the parts. I’m going to go for the Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 ....

Here’s my BOM:-

    1. Receptacle, In Line, 2 Way -  43645-0200
    2. Plug, In Line, Free, 2 Way -  43640-0201
    3. Micro-Fit 3.0 Plug Housing, 2 Row, with Panel Mount Ears, Halogen-Free, 4 Way -  43020-0400
    4. Receptacle, Free, 4 Way, Crimp -  43025-0400
    5. Crimp Socket, 20AWG,  43030-0007
    6. Crimp Pin, Microfit, 20 to 24 AWG, 43031-0007

I intend to use the 2 way connectors but while I was at it I purchased the 4 way as well. I though the 2 way connector maybe easier to hide away?

it was a bit of a job sourcing, I purchased the connectors from CPC UK and the Crimps from eBay. I would of had to but 100 if I had purchased the crimps from CPC which would have tripled the cost €$£
