Heat sink, and better cooling
The cooling of the heat sink can be done better on the PRUSA S model.
I enclose some test results from a simulation of air flow and cooling of the heat sink.
RHD extruder that I compare are not yet available on Thingiverse.
If you want a good extruder immediately, then I recommend you look at Bear Extruder.

RE: Heat sink, and better cooling
How does this compare with the original MK3 design?
RE: Heat sink, and better cooling
Hm. From the pdf it looks like there is almost no space for air around the heatsink.
Might be that the extruder has even direct contact to it. That way the air flow could be good, but
this is probably more difficult to produce. Might need to be made out of non-melting material...
RE: Heat sink, and better cooling
I've been using my RHD extruder (by PETG) for a while now and I can't see that the plastic has taken any damage from the temperature.
The distance between heat sink and extruder body is 0.2 mm.
(But why has Prusa removed the ability to edit our posts afterwards?)
