Firmware for Mosquito on Prusa mk3s
Hey everyone! My new mosquito hotend just came in today, along with slice engineering's heater cartridge and thermistor. I have everything assembled and I'm curretly waiting on the new parts to finish printing before I put it on the printer. in the meantime, I was wondering what firmware and slicer settings I will need to get this up and running on my mk3s. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

If you are using the Bondtech upgrade kit for the mosquito and Prusa mk3s you can get firmware updates here:

There are updates for the slice engineering high temperature thermistor or for a normal thermister. These firmware updates appear to be the normal Prusa firmware with updates to the extruder counts and thermistor RT table.
If you are not using the Bondtech upgrade kit and you are using the Slice Engineering high temperature thermistor, you will need to adjust the existing Prusa firmware using the "Thermistor RT Table" found here:

Hi everyone!
I got my new Mosquito equipment (heater, thermistor...). I have the mk3s, firmware 3.8.1. With the new thermistor I have to adapt the firmware.
But as it seems, it is not so easy to adapt firmware 3.8.1 than the earlier revisions, for example 3.7.1.
I always get an error when I try to compile (I am using ARDUINO IDE 1.8.5 for OS10.15.3) only the unchanged source code.
I have read, that with revision 3.8.1 you can't only use arduino ide to make changes in firmware. The only thing I have to do is integrate the new table for the thermistor.
Can anyone help?

May I suggest Guy Kuo's version of 3.8.1 at https://github.com/guykuo/Prusa-Firmware/tree/0.9-Degree-Stepper-Support ? It has support for Bondtech and the Slice high-temp thermistor, plus LA 1.5 and other nice things. You would disable the 0.9 stepper support (unless, like me, you now have those.) The instructions are very good.

Try a Linux build. build.sh downloads Arduino with Prusas modifications and Rambo board support installed. My Ubuntu 18.04 system is working fine with compiling 3.8.1.
Statt zu klagen, dass wir nicht alles haben, was wir wollen, sollten wir lieber dankbar sein, dass wir nicht alles bekommen, was wir verdienen.
