EINSY enclosure
Does the EINSY enclosure need to be PETG or would PLA be good enough to print it out with? I am still pretty afraid of PETG since replacement print sheets are still not available yet.

I printed a replacement enclosure with cable chain mounts in PLA, works fine.
Just be careful and do a test print, you'll be fine. Printed PETG and Polycarbonate without much fuss on the PEI sheet.

Thanks, I may give it a try. What did you use as a release agent, Windex, Glue Stick, or something else?

FWIW - I spay with Windex and then apply some stick “school glue” to the print area, as well as the nozzle initial purge area. Never had a problem with PETG sticking excessively. Of course let the print cool before removal. I usually print at 245° with bed at 90° for PETG. My PEI surface looks just fine afterwards. If there are any small bubbles afterwards (in the PEI adhesive underneath) they clear up over time...🤓

nothing for PETG. Polycarbonate sticks almost too well (sanded + acetone), works fine if you're really careful otherwise I use magigoo.

Been printing PETG on the same Mk3 PEI sheet since November. It is nothing to be wary of. Windex is all you need for release agent.

I never used release agent for anything, i use IPA 99.9% for everything. Print 160x160x60 box made of PETG for example is easy to me to remove just by bend the sheet. Never had a problem or bed damage, PETG for me get off easy. Don't know if i got a not so good pei sheet but i use same Live Z (0.700mm) and IPA for everything and all went good so far. Even small objects pop out easy. Maybe my luck i don't know, layers are perfect

I think it depends on the PETG. I have some Filamentum CPE HG100 which is essentially their PETG. Thus stuff prints best at 270 degrees, and I don't DARE print without a release agent. Windex doesn't even work- glue stick is the only way I'll print this stuff.

I have Prusa PET, NGEN (Not tested yet), PrimaSelect PETG, and a spain made PETG brand.
How do you clean the glue stick from bed? its not a bit messy?
Do you apply a new layer every print?
I renember one time that i had difficulties to remove a small height object, it don't pop when bend the sheet. I used freezer spray and it pop's right after.

A very thin layer is all that is required... barely hold any pressure on the glue stick when applying. I don't apply a new layer every print- I printed every black Prusa MK3 stl (except for the large pieces like the Einsy case/lid, power supply covers, etc) with just the single layer I applied. I did these one at a time, and had no trouble removing each part after the plate had cooled.
For cleaning, just a quick wipe with Windex and a paper towel gets the residual glue stick off in a flash.
