Connect monitor & keyboard directly to Rpi3 running Octoprint?
Dumb me. I thought I could just connect a monitor and keyboard to my Rpi3 and do away with running Octo on my laptop.
Just a blank screen on the monitor.
Can anyone help me?
99.99% of internet searches deal with getting Ri3 up and running WITHOUT monitor & keyboard.
I just want to run Rpi3/Octo from a keyboard & monitor, hooked up directly to the Rpi3. Monitor via HDMI, keybaord will be either usb wireless, or usb cable direct to Rpi3 usb port.

RE: Connect monitor & keyboard directly to Rpi3 running Octoprint?
If you installed Octopi, then Octoprint forum would be better place to ask. In general it's Rpi3 question and not really related to Prusa or Octoprint. What do you expect to see on the Monitor?

Expect to see-
1. Some sort of octoprint gui like I see on my laptop
2. Some sort of browser interface (chromium?) Like I see on my laptop. From which I can choose to run various programs - like Octoprint.

Then I would suggest you pick any RPi guides and install a distribution of your choice first. Once you have your desktop setup, you can install Octoprint.

A "distribution" is an operating system? Octopi? Linux? Raspian?
Any suggestions? What would you use?

Looks like you're new to Linux but no worries. I think without going into much detail, this is what I would suggest for starters: https://ubuntu-mate.org/raspberry-pi/
or this: https://itsfoss.com/ubuntu-mate-raspberry-pi/

I think this is what you’re looking for. Except you don’t need to do all the resistive touch screen driver stuff or print a custom front panel. Just do the steps to setup the TouchUI interface.

RE: Connect monitor & keyboard directly to Rpi3 running Octoprint?
Do understand what is going on. You seem to think OctoPrint is running on your laptop. It is not.
The Raspberry Pi attached to the printer is running as a web server.
OctoPrint runs on that Pi, and sends pages for display to any browser that requests them.
That browser can be anything: Fire Fox, Chrome, Oracle, etc.
It can run anywhere. I have a second Raspberry Pi 4 and 7" Pi display that shows those web pages just dandy.
I also use my PC browser, like your laptop is doing.
But the OctoPrint code only lives on the Pi attached to the printer.

Thank you all for your patience and answers.
I have watched more YouTube's and read more guides than I care to think about.
I feel very comfortable with solidworks, Prusa Slicer, and operating the Mk3 and Mk3S. Now I need to learn about networking, web servers, distributions, debian, static ips, port forwarding, etc.!
